Honestly did not want to start reading this book for a while and kept putting it off because I did not want to think about the subject after my last break up. but buckled up and read it anyway. well written and it Identified a lot of things I needed to work on within myself and views I had that were causing me the pain I had recently experienced. since then I have bought copies of this book for 4 women I know because I think it has important messages in it for them. Even as a guy, this book is a good read.
I enjoy Lacey Sturm's story. What a testimony. Its great for young adults or adults alike. She talks about struggles with drugs, relationships, depression, and suicide and how she overcame them all with the help of Jesus Christ. An encouraging read.
I read this book in one day.Lacey Sturm writes beautifully and with such vulnerability. The book is wonderfully encouraging and eye-opening.Lacey you are so beautiful in your obedience to the Lord, it makes me want to be closer to him as well.
My daughter could not stop reading this book. It helped her with whats she's going through. That no matter how hard your situation is, by God's grace you will get out of it and will overcome all those struggles.
Lacey is awesome, through her music and written word she inspires all generations to be better than they are and to keep the younger generation from ending it all like she almost did, no matter how difficult life may become. Yes, life is cruel and yes life isn't fair but the alternative is forever. I know from experiences with deep depression. I wanted to take my own life. Granted this one woman's story on how she found true love, not only with her inner self but with God and the love of her life, Josh Sturm and of course her children. I thank God every day that Lacey is still with us. She does have a reason to be alive.
I cannot wait to read her book, i used to love flyleaf and got so sad when she left the band and I didn't know why.. she's just so genuine and I love the fact that she is open about exactly what happened in her life and things people never want to speak of.
This book is raw, honest, and intimate. Lacey has made mistakes and explains how she has used the influences God has put in her life to turn things around for the good. This book is a "must read" for anybody thinking about getting into a relationship, or somebody who is already in one and wants to make it better. She discusses love, trust, and hope, and how with letting God take the lead, we can experience all three.
