I got this for my son for his birthday. He loves visiting Put-in-Bay and has noticed all the markers there from the road races. So this book was perfect and he was happy to get it. I was just surprised it was all black and white and not a coffee table book for the price. But it will be enjoyed very much.
Love it! We live on Catawba Island...just a short ferry ride to PIB.

Wow,,,,, great book on such a perfect time, the names and the cars are all the fun. Reading it is like a you-tube video of the beginning of sports car racing in America. The written words and great pictures of the owner/drivers, brings out the thrills that they all must have experienced, in the competition of driving your sports car as fast as you can.So many neat and exciting people that just flowed into the magic of the world sports car racing of the 60's.. So glad I was there for at lease some of those early years, can't begin to count the many life-long friends, .....and life-long memories.Thanks Carl, with this book you brought us all together again....Tim LaGanke ,, Novelty, Ohio
Memories, sweet memories. I was fortunate to be one of the participants in my TR-3 in the days of real European style road racing. Carl is a genius when it comes to writing automotive history. He amazes the way he has done so thorough a job of digging out the facts and figures on a very unique venue such as the Put-In-Bay races. Any sports car buff will enjoy this marvelous historical marvel.Enthusiasts would also enjoy Carl's broader historical book, "They Started In MGs"
