This is my least favorite Alison Hendricks book. She usually writes great romance and relatable characters. She is an auto buy for me so if you’ve never read her don’t start with this one. I liked the first book in the series and I like the concept however I could not connect with these characters or this story. The premise is 2 guys that had crushed hard on each other years ago meet again. Josh is in a custody battle with his ex and is a complete basket case. Andy seemingly has it all together but has issues that cause him to be rude and cruel to Josh. I didn’t like them and didn’t buy the romance. Good steamy scenes but this book really lacks heart. It felt like the author wasn’t invested.
