We have been trying to eat healthier at home and looking for ways to cook some dishes that are a bit more original than plain salad. I've used author Emma Katies recipe books in the past and have always found them to be packed with some pretty awesome choices. This one was no different. Mediterranean food is often cooked with olive oil, has a lot of fresh vegetables, and we love the choices in this well-organized cookbook. We've already made the Spiced Lamb Patties and Creamy Chickpea soup. Looking forward to trying many more recipes in the near future.
I am going to start the Mediterranean Diet and was looking to pick up a book or two. This book was recommended on a website and ordered it. It was a mistake. I skimmed through it and noticed that the author left out any mention of processed meat (such as sausage) during her overview of the diet. I then got to the recipes. I quickly noticed that more then a couple of recipes used sausage as the main source of protein. I should have done more research before purchasing this book.
As advertised, this is very misleading. You are lead to believe that you are getting 4 books in one when you are really are only getting the 365 Days of Mediterranean Diet Recipes. The Mediterranean Diet for Beginners, Mediterranean Cookbook and Mediterranean Slow Cooker Cookbook are sold separately. Many recipes in this cookbook do not follow the guidelines of the Mediterranean Diet. There are many that use beef, ground beef, lamb and pork. I am returning it.
I love this. I have had another book of Mediterranean diet recipes that I paid for, and this book is at least as good as that one.
This book is packed full of a wide variety of dishes. You need never buy another recipe book
Good reciepes, I use it everyday.
Love the fact it has a lot of different meals for everyday.
Lots of easy YUMMY recipes.
